Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova in Christ Church

Hmmm, they keep on coming, fantastic concerts. The one even better than the other. Today it was Glen and Marketa performing their entire album The Swell Season in Christ Church. After playing almost all the songs from the album Glen apoligised for the possibly short gig due to a lack of songs, but then he started playing some Frames tunes, assisted by two fellow Frames mates. And after this rock out part it was back to the out takes of the album and snippets mixed with covers. It all ended with Jesus Blood Never Failed Me Yet. A very fitting ending for the gig AND the location (that was brilliantly lighted).

Damien and his secret bag

So, and there he was, Mr Damien Rice at a gig in Christ Church. I was to baffled to say anything more than 'would you like to be in a pic with me?' and 'thanks a million'. Ah well, Mr Rice and me :)

Jenny Lewis & The Watson Twins

Jenny Lewis and her Watson Twins blew us away at The Village with their angelic voices and disarming country folk songs. Sometimes Jenny was alone with her guitar, sometimes acapella with the gorgeous swaying twins, sometimes almost rocking out with her entire band. The night ended in a happy spiritual where everybody got up and clapped along. Perfect! Posted by Picasa

Yes, look what I found in Dalkey. A lovely designed bench, very ad hoc if you tell me. Posted by Picasa
