Mark Geary in Whelans

Mark Geary the, from origin Irish, singer-songwriter feels at home in Whelans. And this reflected on the entire performance. From quiet emotional 'rockers' to massive sing-alongs, the audience loved it. Geary presented a set of familiar songs from his two albums and also tried out some new tunes. During the set he asked Ann Scott (seen her before at a Ruby Session) to join him for a song and also his support act, a lovely scottish lady whose name I can not remember, was asked on stage to perform a few songs. In addition, two covers were played, one intimate song by Kathleen Edwards and one from the Irish BellX1 which got a great reception by the audience.
On a personal note, it was nice to meet Jennifer, from San Francisco, whom I bumped into. Hope you are doing well and everything gets sorted with that passport and visa.
